[LESSON PROGRAM]
QUESTION: What makes you different then other lesson programs?]
[ANSWER: We are a small exclusive barn. Our program has been featured in many national
magazine articles which acclaims us a one of the finest equestrian programs in the nation.
We personally know each and every student that participates in our programs which allows
us to build that all important student/ coach relationship. We feel it an honor to be apart of
our students lives.
CUSTOMER SERVICE] Is it easy to get a hold of someone when I need to since it is a barn?]
[QUESTION: Is it easy to get a hold of someone when I need to since it is a barn?]
[ANSWER: If we are not in the barn assisting the veterinarian or farrier, or conducting a
tour, we should pick up during normal business hours. If we miss your call we will promptly
return it within 24 hours. The same with emails.] If you have any payment questions or you
want to sign up for a camp please call our office manager, Lois. Lois is in the office Tuesday
and Wednesdy 9:00am - 2:30pm.
[QUESTION: How important is safety to you?]
[ANSWER: We take safety VERY seriously here at Deerfield. We require approved helmets
and riding boots whenever the rider is on the horse. We cannot guarantee or control all
situations involving an unpredictable animal, but work hard to minimize the risk.
[QUESTION: I have heard that unless you plan to show or purchase a horse we shouldn't
even contact you.]
[ANSWER: This seems to be a statement that has been floating out there for some time. We
have no idea how or why it came up. The Young Riders Academy was created specifically
for students who don't own their own horse and/or just want to learn the classical art of
riding. With no more then 40 students, this exclusive program provides gentle, trained
lesson horses for all to enjoy safely. The YRA students are considerd our home team!]
[QUESTION: What form of payment do you accept?]
[ANSWER: We accept cash, check and cashiers check ( soon we will except payments thru
VISA and MC). We bill on a 30 day cycle, payments are due before your first lesson of the
month.
[SERVICE SPECIFIC]
[QUESTION: We have heard that during show season there aren't any coaches left at the
barn?]
[ANSWER: Quite the opposite here at Deerfield. Though some show barns do empty out
during the show months (primarily summer), we offer Summer Camps and our staff is intact
throughout the year here at home.] Although on occasion we may take some of the lesson
horses with us leaving only a few at home, this will require a little flexibility on the weekends.
