If you have never ridden before, want to get back in the saddle after many years away, or looking to continue to develop your education we offer riding lessons, camps, clinics and other programs to adults in the greater Seattle area.
Our Adult Riding Program
Our adult riding program is suitable for riders under 200 lbs. no matter their skill level or prior experience. This program is designed for riders looking to develop their understanding of horses and horseback riding. It includes weekly lessons, clinics, camps, and other educational programs offered throughout the year.
Our adult riding program begins with our Adult Intro Series. This pre-requisite series involves 2 afternoons with a 1.5-hour group session each day, in groups of 2-4 adults.
Participants will learn the skills needed to safely handle, tack, groom, care for, and ride our horses while learning about the Deerfield Farm riding program and meeting our coaches. After completing the series, riders can sign up for regular, weekly lessons and other programs when their availability matches ours.
These Intro Series are typically offered Saturdays from 10-11:30 am. Contact us for upcoming dates.

- Janet M.“As a 65+ senior, who had never been on a horse until about 10 years ago, I started lessons at Deerfield 2+ years ago. First once a week and now two. I love it and would recommend it to everyone! The trainers and instructors are world class, the horses very well trained and taken care of and the setting is beautiful. Try it. Deerfield is the best of everything.”
